My Research

Travel
If you're local I'm happy to visit area cemeteries, libraries, archives, or town halls (within an hour's drive). Otherwise, the majority of my research can be done online. Of course, if you want me to travel overseas...

The Heart Of The Home
Interested in learning about the home where you or your ancestors were raised? There are many records available showing who lived in the abode during specific times, the number of rooms, whether they owned or rented, property surveys...

Your Family Chart
Deciding on a family chart is a very personal choice, and there are loads of charts to choose from!

Military Records
A great deal of information can be found for ancestors who were in the military. Attestation papers can show personal tidbits such as, height, eye colour, identifying marks/tattoos, etc. Many documents will also include next of kin, home address, birthdate, etc.

Cemeteries
A good wander around a cemetery can be very tranquil and thought provoking. Even better is finding the final resting place of an ancestor. Cemetery records come in very handy!

Where To Draw The Line
There's no right answer to this question. Family research is a rabbit hole! The more you know, the more you want to know - it's addictive! We'll sort out our plan of attack, and you decide how far you want to go. One of my family branches currently goes back to the mid-1600s - Yaaaay, Scottish records! - but that isn't always the case.  Let's work together to find out what goals you have for your family tree.
